This week’s Norwich City player watch kept a close eye on Emi Buendia as the Argentine attacker found fine form during an eventful 3-2 home defeat to Chelsea.
3 - Pops up on the left and holds up Christian Pulisic as he tries to attack, Marco Stiepermann completes the tackle.
6 - Drops deep and plays a lovely ball to Teemu Pukki on the left, eventually comes back to Buendia and shows good strength to dance away from Jorginho, finds Cantwell in the box, who spreads to Pukki on the left and low cross is poked in from close range by Cantwell as City immediately equalise.
14 - Tom Trybull and Mo Leitner controlling in midfield, Buendia takes over and spreads right to Max Aarons, good pace from the right-back but poor touch loses possession.
20 - Does well to keep a Grant Hanley pass alive and nudges on to Leitner in the centre circle.

52 - Stiepermann flicks on Cantwell's pass and Pukki attacks on the left, Buendia tries to link with Cantwell but crowded out in the box, despite Leitner's efforts to keep the chance alive.
57 - Hanley just beats Tammy Abraham in the air and Buendia gets the ball to Aarons so he can clear. Soon after helps Aarons deal with Ross Barkley and sets the right-back away but touch lets Aarons down.
59 - Sticks with Mason Mount to block a shot after Leitner couldn't get the ball clear, despite his best efforts.

74 - Poor free-kick from the left is cleared, but Leitner with a fine pass back to him on the left, great touch to open up the cross from the bye-line but no one in the box to turn it in.
83 - Buendia loops a free-kick to the back post but too long and Godfrey can't reach it.
85 - Tenacious from Buendia, tracks back to help Lewis get out of trouble.
87 - Caught late by Willian but fine to continue.
VERDICT: Key role in both goals and so nearly set up a third for City. Looked very much Premier League quality in attack and caused a top team real problems, finding those pockets of space he revelled in last season. Play like this against lesser top-flight sides and will be too hot to handle. Warming up nicely to the challenge and already becoming a marked man.
