Most Norwich City adult season tickets will cost between eight and 10 per cent more next season – if they are renewed by the first available deadline.

However, each season ticket price except under-17s and under-12s includes an optional £19 donation – £1 per home game – in support of the club’s Academy. Fans can opt out of the donation, but those taking part will be entered into a draw at every home league match to try to win back the cost of their season ticket.

The Canaries have issued their price list for the 2013-14 campaign, with season tickets available for renewal from 9am today.

An adult seat in the Barclay Stand, Norwich & Peterborough Stand, Thorpe and Wensum Corners or Aviva Community Stand will cost £518.50 next season, compared with £471 this season, a rise of just over 10 per cent – or £2.50 per match based on 19 Premier League games, assuming City stay in the top flight. Admission works out at £27.29 per match.

Prices in those areas also rose £2.50 per match for the current season.

Season tickets for 2013-14 in the Geoffrey Watling City Stand wings and Jarrold Stand blocks J, N and O rise from £482 to £529.50, a rise of 9.8 per cent.

City Stand centre seats and those in Jarrold Stand blocks K, L and M are up from £532 to £579.50, a rise of nearly nine per cent.

And season tickets in the County, Cathedral, Castle and 59ers Lounges rise from £790 to £856.50, up 8.8 per cent to just over £45 per Premier League match. Those prices apply up to the first deadline of Saturday, February 23 - the day of City’s home game against Everton.

As an incentive to renew promptly, ground season ticket prices will be frozen for the 2014-15 campaign for fans meeting the first deadline – provided City are in the Premier League again. Leave it to the second deadline of April 6, and the price of a Barclay adult seat rises to £547. Up to the final deadline of May 17, the price becomes £575.50.

Most fans with concession tickets face higher rises. An over-65 seat in the Barclay Stand or Norwich & Peterborough Stand is up from £310 to £357.50, and in the City Stand or Jarrold Stand from £316 to £363.50, rises of just over 15 per cent.

Season ticket sales will be capped again at 22,000. Priority for seats that become available after the last deadline will go to more than 1,800 fans on the waiting list.

Ten of City’s 11 Premier League home games in 2012-13 have been sell-outs in home areas – an indication of the continuing strength of support.

City boss Chris Hughton, looking to secure the club’s Premier League status for another season, said the fans’ backing was as vital as ever.

“The one thing you can’t under-estimate is how important our home crowd is for us,” he told the club’s official website. “The home crowd is vital – the feeling around the stadium, and how that makes the players feel is vital.

The vocal backing we receive from the Norwich fans gives those players a lift, you know it does, and right when the players need it more often than not.”

Chief executive David McNally said: “Norwich City supporters are the club’s biggest asset and have played a huge part in helping to drive the team on to success. Time and again, Canary fans back their club and we are so grateful for their continual support. We do hope that all season ticket-holders renew their seat once again, to take advantage of both the best possible prices and to freeze Premier League prices for the following season.”

City have posted renewal details to every season ticket-holder in their “We are Norwich” brochure. Membership information for 2013-14 will be released next month.
