Dean Wright has been appointed Norwich City’s new assistant academy manager.

Wright will work under head of the academy Steve Weaver with the pair having worked together at Huddersfield Town where he was a Football Foundation Phase coach. The pair also worked together at Bury Town.

Weaver told the club’s official website: “I recruited Dean from Bury at Huddersfield and in that time he proved to be one of the best developers I’ve worked with it.

“It’s also really important for the club to bring people from outside of Norfolk, and people who have been in different environments. Dean’s programme last year involved playing against Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and the likes of those teams – so he’ll bring and share that sort of experience with all of the coaches at Norwich.”
