Norwich City Ladies are hoping to rise up the SE Combination League table with a win at Northampton Town this weekend.

As Milton Keynes Dons are not playing on Sunday, if City can get three points then they will leapfrog them into fourth, and could even go into third place if Lewes are beaten by Tottenham.

Northampton are one place below Norwich in the table but have had two heavy defeats on the trot - to second-placed Enfield and leaders Gillingham.

City, on the other hand, have had two wins in their past two league clashes, beating Ipswich and then Milton Keynes, both with a 4-1 scoreline.

The Canaries have not had a game for two weeks as two teams have withdrawn from the league - Dagenham & Redbridge and Welwyn Garden City.

Norwich had drawn Dagenham & Redbridge in first round of the Women's FA Cup so have been given a bye.

They are due to visit Ipswich Wanderers on November 16 in the Norfolk and Suffolk Cup.
