As the 10th loanee leaves Norwich City ahead of the new season, David Freezer takes a closer look at the players looking to impress while away from the Canaries, across various leagues and countries.

Young striker Anthony Spyrou has become the latest Norwich City player to head out on loan ahead of the new season, joining National League side Chesterfield.

The 19-year-old is the 10th Norwich player currently out on loan, following the recent exits of midfielders Savvas Mourgos and Charlie Gilmour for the Dutch second tier.

Republic of Ireland U21 winger will spend the new season with Scottish Premiership side Ross and has made two appearances in the Scottish League Cup already, playing all of a 4-0 win at Brechin City in the group stages.

Signed a new contract in January, extending terms until 2021 with the option for a further year, and scored once in 10 games in the Dutch second tier for Dordrecht - then helped the Ireland U21s reach the semi-finals of the Toulon Tournament.

Tall centre-back made 10 appearances for Rotherham last season, when the Millers were a Championship side, but two ankle injuries ruined the 25-year-old's season.

Former Lincoln defender now tries his luck in League One with promotion hopefuls Pompey for the season, ahead of his City contract expiring next summer, although there is an option for a further 12 months.

Carlton Morris (Rotherham)

Another player looking to get his career back on track after a season ruined by injuries. The 23-year-old striker was a regular for Shrewsbury in League One during 2017-18, scoring 10 goals in 53 games, but damaged knee ligaments during a play-off final defeat.

The FA Youth Cup winner extended his contract until 2021 as he headed back to the third tier with Rotherham and has featured regularly during pre-season so far.

Former Blackpool left-back is playing in the second tier of football in the USA and has played almost every minute of the Rowdies' season so far, scoring his first goal in a 4-1 win over St Louis on Sunday.

With 22 appearances to his name so far, mostly playing on the left of a three-man defence, the 20-year-old is set to stay in Florida until October - with Tampa currently five points clear at the top of the Eastern Conference. His City contract runs until 2021, with the option of a further year.

Signed this summer following his release from Arsenal, the Scotland Under-19 midfielder has gone straight out on loan to the Dutch second tier for the season.

The 20-year-old signed terms through until 2021, with an option for an extra year, having made two of substitute appearances for the Gunners in the Europa League last season.

Another who will spend the season in the Dutch second tier, returning to Dordrecht after an initially bright loan last season was cut short by a serious knee injury, after three goals in 10 games.

The Greek 21-year-old was signed after his Arsenal release in 2017 and is under contract until the end of this season, although there is an option for a further 12 months.

Signed after impressing in non-league for Baldock Town, the 20-year-old winger was a lively presence at U23 level last season, to earn a move to the Scottish Championship.

Has already made two League Cup group stage starts, setting up a goal in a 3-2 win at St Mirren.

Mason Bloomfield (Crawley)

Went straight out on loan to Hamilton after signing from Dageham & Redbridge last season, but striker switched to National League side AFC Fylde after limited opportunities, only to break his arm during his debut.

The 22-year-old has joined League Two side Crawley for the season and started as the Reds were beaten 1-0 by Premier League club Brighton on Friday.

From obscure transfer links to Liverpool, West Ham and Leicester earlier in the summer, to heading to National league South side Eastbourne for the season.

The 19-year-old defender was signed after leaving Luton Town last summer and was a regular for City's U23s last season, but will now get his first taste of men's football.
