Norwich City striker Carlton Morris scored his fourth goal of the season, as Rotherham earned a 1-0 home win over Accrington Stanley in League One.

The 23-year-old showed he is getting back to full fitness, having missed most of last season with knee and ankle injuries, when he powered in a header from a free-kick in the 30th minute.

"I came into this season not expecting to play as massive a part as I have in the past potentially, because we've got such a big, competitive squad," Morris told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"There's a lot of good players here, in terms of training sessions, it's probably one of the most intense I've been involved in - especially at this level. So it's good to get games and I'm happy with where I'm at."

Elsewhere, with some league games postponed due to international action, left-back James Husband played all of Blackpool's 2-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon as the Tangerines moved into the play-off places.

In League Two, striker Mason Bloomfield was a late substitute as Crawley were held 1-1 at home by Morecambe, as was forward Diallang Jaiyesimi during Sindon's 3-2 win at Salford which moved the Robins top of the table.

Over in Holland, midfielder Charlie Gilmour returned to the Telstar team after missing a couple of games with a knee injury, playing all of a 2-0 home defeat to Go Ahead Eagles in the second tier.

There will be no action for goalkeeper Aston Oxborough in the next few weeks though, with injury seemingly bringing an early end to his loan spell at Wealdstone.

The 21-year-old has been a regular for the Stones but revealed on Twitter that he had fractured a thumb, writing: "Gutted to be missing out at the moment, wishing Wealdstone all the best over the next few months."

That follows on from striker Anthony Spyrou's planned season-long loan at National League side Chesterfield ending early, as minor injury issues had hampered his progress.

City midfielder Alfie Payne was an unused substitute as King's Lynn Town won 2-1 at Southport to move top of National League North.
