The loan spell of Norwich City defender Caleb Richards continues to go well in the United States.

The 20-year-old former Blackpool full-back has played almost every minute of Tampa Bay Rowdies' 18 games so far this season and has been named in the latest United Soccer (USL) League Team of the Week.

Richards helped Tampa win 2-1 away to Bethlehem Steel in Pennsylvania on Saturday to stay top of the Eastern Conference in the second tier, the USL Championship, three points clear of Indianapolis side Indy Eleven having played two games more.

The Team of the Week announcement stated: "Richards won 13 of 16 duels and six of seven aerials, won four of four tackles attempted and completed 43 of 54 passes to help the Rowdies to a road victory against Bethlehem."

The left-sided prospect joined the Rowdies in February as he extended his City contract until 2021, with the option of a further year, and is set to remain in Florida until October.
