Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn has been put through his paces in training as the England Under-21 squad prepare for the start of the Uefa European U21 Championship in Poland.

Aidy Boothroyd’s squad are in Kielce preparing for their tournament opener against Sweden on Friday (5pm UK time), with recent loan signing Gunn and Canaries winger Jacob Murphy both in the squad, as well as former City star Nathan Redmond.

Gunn has been training with Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who is expected to be number one and is reportedly on the verge of completing a £30million move to Everton following Premier League relegation, as well as Derby County’s Jonathan Mitchell.

The Football Association has published a video of the keeper trio in action in training, going through drills and making saves in training.

Gunn and Murphy both started a 3-0 win over Iceland at St George’s Park on Saturday, with Murphy scoring twice in the warm-up friendly.

Following the opener against Sweden the U21s also face Slovakia next Monday (5pm) and hosts Poland on Thursday, June 22 (7.45pm) – who could include defender Krystian Bielik in their team, who is the verge of joining Norwich on loan from Arsenal.
