Our latest Norwich City player watch followed the fortunes of Moritz Leitner in a more advanced midfield position, as the Canaries drew 0-0 at Bournemouth.

3 - Starting in a more advanced role, in place of Marco Stiepermann as Teemu Pukki's chief support. Jamal Lewis with a good tackle on Adam Smith to put the ball out for a throw and then Leitner is outmuscled by Smith but Cherries have to go backwards.

5 - Closes down Ryan Fraser on the right and nudges the ball forwards in the challenge.

14 - Exchanges a nice one-two with Kenny McLean and finds Pukki on the edge of the box but City can't carve out an opening.

16 - Nice skill from Pukki on halfway, users Leitner as his decoy to charge into the box but Diego Rico robs him for a corner.

You may also want to watch:

17 - Lovely inter-play from Todd Cantwell and Leitner on the left, German rolls in a lovely pass to Pukki, who beats Aaron Ramsdale to the ball and pushes it wide - but is offside.

18 - Emi Buendia finds Leitner on the edge of the box, opts not to shoot, slips to Lewis on the left, low cross is nudged clear of Pukki.

Most Read

20 - Encouraging spell from City on the right. Max Aarons, Cantwell, Leitner and Buendia all involved with slick passing, Buendia can't find Leitner in the box but influence is growing, after a really quiet start, popping up all over the pitch to get on the ball.

24 - Ben Godfrey holds up Dominic Solanke and Lewis nips in, then Leitner intercepts a Harry Wilson pass and McLean eventually thumps clear.

26 - Lewis leathers a ball towards Pukki, who can't quite chest to Leitner in support on halfway, just as chance was opening up.

29 - Lewis finds Leitner on halfway as City counter, charges forward and Philip Billing seems to catch him but referee waves away appeals for a free-kick on the edge of the box.

33 - Lewis can't prevent Harry Wilson cutting inside him, Smith weaves pass Leitner too easily but Godfrey thumps clear.

34 - Cantwell finds Leitner nicely, Smith just gets a foot in to deflect through-ball away from Pukki.

29 - McLean is robbed by Billing but Leitner does really well to get the ball back and get Lewis going on the left.

44 - Alex Tettey calms things down in the middle, Buendia finds Leitner, who combines with Aarons on the right but midfielder's cross isn't deep enough to find Lewis.

56 - Does well to salvage a poor Buendia corner and allow the Argentine to cross again from the left, Amadou stretches but can only direct his header wide.

62 - Lewis back-heels Cantwell down the left, Pukki squares and Leitner keeps attack alive but Aarons' cross is cleared.

64 - Ibrahim Amadou does well to get a Nathan Ake pass clear, McLean passes sharply to Leitner, slips Pukki into right channel but too wide to shoot, back to Leitner and Buendia switches to Lewis on the left, whose cross is held by Ramsdale easily.

65 - Leitner has a shot from the right of the D, always curling away from the far post, but Daniel Farke applauds his team's intent.

71 - Cantwell and Leitner link on the left as City push for a winner, switched to Aarons, cross is just too high for Pukki.

73 - Outmuscled by Lewis Cook and concedes a free-kick in the centre-circle.

73 - Buzzing around Philip Billing but Amadou has to make a good interception of a Ryan Fraser cross from the left.

89 - Replaced by Dennis Srbeny

VERDICT: A decent shift but didn't quite find his groove. Instinct is to drop deep and look for the pass, which often meant the options ahead of him were limited. A different option to Stiepermann and there were encouraging signs, but offered a very similar attacking presence to Cantwell and Buendia, drifting into pockets of space.

RATING: 6 out of 10
