Real Zaragoza, the Canaries’ friendly opponents at Carrow Road on Wednesday night (7.30pm), have signed Mexico international Efrain Juarez from Celtic on a season-long loan deal.
The 23-year-old, who can operate in midfield or defence, moved to Scotland after last year’s World Cup.
But he struggled to establish himself as a regular in Neil Lennon’s side, making 11 starts and nine appearances from the bench. Juarez will be reunited with Zaragoza coach Javier Aguirre, who was in charge of Mexico at the 2010 World Cup.
