It’s time to start forming an orderly queue for the services of Norwich City winger Jacob Murphy.
Newcastle United have reportedly joined the list of Premier League clubs interested in the Canaries England Under-21 winger.
According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Magpies boss Rafa Benitez has his sights on three wingers, and 22-year-old Murphy is one of them.
Benitez has sent scout Steve Nickson to Poland for the Euro under-21 Championships and is interested in Murphy, along with Leicester’s Tom Lawrence – who excelled at Ipswich on loan last season – and Demarai Gray.
Newcastle believe they can get Murphy – who has four years left on his deal at Carrow Road after signing a new contract in January – for £8m although the Chronicle claim City want £12m. Gray would cost £18m. West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Swansea are also reportedly interested in Murphy.
