Norwich City’s under-23 squad have been having some fun in the sun during the club’s pre-season training camp in Germany.

The Canaries development squad took some time out from training for a ‘crossbar challenge’ in front of the club’s cameras.

As well as players including Todd Cantwell, Glenn Middleton and trial striker Pierre Xavier Fonkeu, coaches Matt Gill and Darren Huckerby also tried their luck at striking the crossbar from distance.

City’s U23s played their first match of the training camp on Wednesday, beating fourth-tier side SC Rot-Weiß Oberhausen 2-1 thanks to goals from Cantwell and Fonkeu.Gill’s squad complete their pre-season camp on Friday (12pm) against Eintracht Braunschweig U23 at Hotel Klosterpforte.They will then form a Norwich City XI which takes on National League side Sutton United on Friday, July 28 (7.45pm), before concluding preparations for the new Premier League Two season with a fixture against Burnley at Colney on Friday, August 4 (12pm).• Watch how the U23s got on in their crossbar challenge by pressing play on the video above
