Norwich City have confirmed that Carrow Road will host next month’s FA Youth Cup third round tie against Newcastle United.

The Magpies' under-18s will provide the opposition on Tuesday, December 10, in a 7pm kick-off, bringing the prestigious competition back to the stadium for the first time since 2017-18.

That season saw a City U18s squad which included Max Aarons and Adam Idah enjoy a run of four consecutive Carrow Road games, beating Barnsley, Derby and Newcastle before the disappointment of a 3-1 defeat to Birmingham in the snow in the quarter-finals.

That was followed by two away ties for the 2013 winners last season, winning 3-2 at Port Vale but losing 3-0 at Preston in the fourth round.

The Canaries have confirmed that the Wensum Area of the City Stand will be open for the game, with tickets priced at £3 for adults and £1 for under-18s and over-65s. Tickets will be sold for cash at turnstiles on the night and will not be sold in advance.
