Exeter have rejected Norwich's offer for highly-rated defender Dan Seaborne.
Grecians officials confirmed this afternoon the Canaries had lodged a firm bid for the 22-year-old homegrown defender - but have dismissed the offer as 'derisory'.
Exeter director of football Steve Perryman told Exeter's official site: “We know at some point that Dan Seaborne is good enough to go higher in the game and we don't wish to stand in his way but the time is not now and especially not for such a derisory amount.”
Seaborne has made over 60 appearances for the club, captaining the side that won promotion to League Two via the play-offs at Wembley in 2008. Seaborne was also on the mark last night from the penalty spot but failed to prevent Exeter slipping out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after the hosts had drawn 1-1 in normal time against Swindon.
