Don't read this Mr Lambert. As you may just be the manager we Canary fans have had on our wish list for such a long time.

It just seems that you have hardly put a foot wrong since taking over at Norwich City which was a club in disarray and, some thought, in terminal decline.

Over the first few matches you gave players a chance to show what they had to offer both in playing ability and level of confidence.

When injuries started to hit what appeared to be possible first team choices, you and the management team had seen enough on the training pitch to make sound judgements and call in the right replacements.

Since your appointments fans have seen that when the opportunity arises you have used the substitute system to give players, such as Jamie Cureton the chance to regain their confidence which for whatever reason had slipped away.

The scoring of late goals, winning a point when down to ten men and coming from the dead when two nil down to league leaders Charlton illustrated how the attitude of players had been dramatically changed.

We now have a team with a back bone who do not crumble when things go wrong on the field of play.

You and your management team have found a playing formation to make the best use of Hoolahan's talent and skills. Darel Russell has been found a new effective role and moved away from the exit door that beckoned during the summer.

Perhaps though, the most striking change is that the management team is not only willing to let younger players join the team squad but actually play. There is ample evidence of the necessary management skill that is knowing which young players are ready to make the big step up in level that is first team football even in League One (3rd Division).

Paul Lambert's comments at the end of matches in relation to the performance of the team and individuals are measured and always look forward to the next match and the future. The team is in safe hands and I look forward to standing with thousands of other Canary fans below City Hall next May cheering our team. No, Mr Lambert you certainly must not read this.
