Wivenhoe were given a lifeline with a penalty against Gareth Simpson for hand-ball with the Planter faithful wondering how he could have got out of the way!

Wivenhoe then retook the lead soon after, only for Lee Hunter to square once more from the spot after Blyth had been fouled in the area.
The Planters pressed for the winner but had to settle for a point.
