Colchester United insist striker Clive Platt will not be moving to Norwich City. The 31-year-old is reported to be a target for manager Bryan Gunn.However, United assistant manager Ian Culverhouse, Gunn's former Norwich team-mate, said Platt was too important to the team to be allowed to leave.

“Clive isn't going anywhere,” he said. “He's an integral part of our plans for the new season.”
