"We need to show better quality with the ball, when we have the opportunities. The attitude has been spot on. In good spirits. We're confident and have a good chance of winning," The Scot explained to the Romford Recorder.
"We all need to be together. We need it. My message to them is positive, be with the team, stick with them. The team needs you badly."

"There are days that things can feel as though events are conspiring against you," Pearson told the Watford Observer.
"We've got the tools, what we've got to do is make things happen ourself and so there are going to be occasions when we're not at our best and things don't go our way, we've just got to be able to deal with it, it's as simple as that really."

"We are not where we want to be in the league - it's going to be very tight. It's going to be a real battle," Howe told the Bournemouth Echo
"But certainly I am seeing signs that the team is in a much better place and ready for the challenge that lays ahead."

"We were written off after last week (2-0 loss) at Southampton. We expected a reaction today and we got that. We were taking on one of the best teams in the world," Smith said via the Evening Express.
"You can't hide away that we're in the bottom three now. If we play like we did today, then we'll get out of the relegation zone."

"I am pleased with our path, our direction but we have to keep going. When you work with unity and fighting spirit and the right tactical approach then you have a chance.
"We are not even speaking about winning seven out of 10. We can't judge our players and our situation on relegation."
