Norwich City’s new head coach spoke to the media at Carrow Road this afternoon, hot on the heels of his appointment this morning.

The 40-year-old German, the Canaries’ first overseas appointment to lead the club’s first team, joins following a successful spell in charge of Borussia Dortmund U23s.

Farke led BVB U23s to second place in Regional League West – in the fourth tier of football in Germany – with the best defensive record of 25 conceded in 34 matches.

His work for Dortmund persuaded sporting director Stuart Webber to pursue him as the replacement for Alex Neil in City’s restructured managerial set up, who spoke to the media alongside the new head coach.
