Norwich City talisman Teemu Pukki has been nominated for two prestigious awards at this years Finland’s Sports Gala.

The Finn has been nominated in two categories of the Finland Urheilugaala as he looks to add more awards to his ever extending mantlepiece.

Pukki has been nominated for the 'Athlete of the Year' and has two nominations for 'Sporting Moment of the Year'.

Pukki is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Finnish footballing legends Sami Hyypia and Jari Litmanen by winning the 'Athlete of the Year' award in January.

He also has two nominations in the Sporting Moment of the Year category for his part in the national teams qualification as they sealed their place at Euro 2020 against Liechtenstein and for his hat-trick against Newcastle United at Carrow Road back in August.

His 23 goals for City this year coupled with his contribution to Finland's qualification for their first ever major competition has seen him lauded by pundits and supporters alike.

The winners will be announced at the official awards night at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki on Thursday, January 16.
