Clare Williamson, NCISA

After supporting Norwich City for over 25 years I should have known better I suppose than to go to Carrow Road on Wednesday night full of confidence and fully expecting us to get our first home win of the season. It didn't take long to be brought straight back down to earth with a big bump.

I'm not going to get downhearted about it, as I'm a glass half full person and not a glass half empty person. I'm going to put it down to a one-off all round bad day at the office and hope that by the time this column goes to print, we have indeed got that first win and we're nearer the top half of the table than the bottom.

There's one subject that seems to be dividing the fans at the moment and that's the amount of loan players we have at the club. For those of you that attended the forum we held earlier in the year with Glenn Roeder it should come as no surprise that we have as many as we do. He said that night that the re-building job at City would take at least two years and he had no choice but to use the loan system.

There were quite a few calls into Canary Call on Wednesday night, questioning the loan players' commitment and whether they actually care about Norwich City.

If we look at the players Roeder's brought in they all have something to play for, whether it's to prove something at their own clubs or whether to put themselves in the shop window. We haven't just brought in a load of old rubbish; we've brought in quality players who can/will do a good job for us for as long as they are here. If personal pride and ambition has anything to do with it then they will make sure they do their very best for themselves and our football club.

That's why I'm not too worried about Wednesday's performance because we can't play that badly again today. It's not to say I wasn't bitterly disappointed along with everyone else but as I said I'm a glass half full person. Come on City!
