Reduced programme sees champions bounce back
With the league programme greatly reduced due to the County Cups, Marlborough took the opportunity to wipe last week’s heavy defeat from their minds, as they won 5-2 at Hellesdon Athletic.
The Premier Division’s only other game at Sloughbottom saw Norwich Busmen come from behind to beat Wymondham Rangers 2-1.
In 1A it’s now three out of three for Vale Longo, their best ever start to the season. Pete Crowley and Kevin Brown were on target as they won 2-0 at Hainford YCOB. The only game in 1B saw Prince of Denmark beat St Faiths 4-2.
A solitary goal by Mark Quinsey gave Deopham all three points at The Griffen in 2A, whilst in 2B, Heartsease hit seven (Aaron Kay 2, Tom Whitmore, Jamie Daynes, James White, Jody Blaseby and og) past Hillside OB. Moles Rest scored five without reply at Hingham, and there was a single goal victory for Ribs Rovers at Hethersett Athletic.
In 3A Dancing Farmers had a 2-1 win at Mad Moose, New Buckenham beat River Garden 5-1 and The Reindeer had a 3-0 home win over Norman Wanderers A. The division’s other game saw Caseys Cosmos beat Constable Crusaders 3-1.
