A new contract for Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber will be announced ‘in the next 48 hours’ according to the Training Ground Guru site on Thursday morning.
National newspaper The Telegraph reported earlier this week Webber has agreed a three-year extension to his current deal, hot on the heels of Saturday's landmark victory over reigning champions Manchester City at Carrow Road.
It's understood reports are accurate, following on from talk of a new deal earlier in the season.
Now the Training Ground Guru site claim that announcement will come ahead of this weekend's Premier League trip to Burnley.
City head coach Daniel Farke put pen to paper on a new long-term deal in March and majority shareholders Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones suggested they would like Webber to follow suit in an interview last month.
The former Wolves and QPR recruitment chief has lead a revolution on and off the pitch for the Canaries since joining from Huddersfield Town in April 2017.
After bringing Farke in from Borussia Dortmund II and setting about drastic cost cutting, a difficult first campaign gave way to a superb Championship title triumph last season.
Following that unexpected success taking the club back to the top flight after three seasons away from the riches of the Premier League, Delia Smith hailed the Welshman as a 'genius'.
In the past year Webber has been linked with both Manchester United and Southampton but after a solid start to life in the top tier, a new contract would allow City to plan for the future with more confidence.
The 35-year-old said "I feel like we've climbed Everest" after promotion was sealed on the back of transfer bargains including Teemu Pukki, Tim Krul and Emi Buendia proving to be major successes, before going on to warn that the club's recent tight finances would mean the Canaries would have the smallest budget of any team in the Premier League.
With a reported £10million promotion bonus shared among the promotion winning squad and with a host of new contracts signed, as well as promotion fees due to former clubs of some players, there was little money to be spent on new signings.
Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts and Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann were brought in on loan and Switzerland international striker Josip Drmic was signed on a free transfer after leaving Borussia Monchengladbach.
West Ham were paid £750,000 for right-back Sam Byram and Sevilla reportedly received £1m for Ibrahim Amadou's season-long loan, with a view to a possible £9m permanent switch if City avoid relegation.
Farke's squad have taken six points from their opening five games despite a host of injuries and facing champions Manchester City, Champions League winners Liverpool and Europa League winners Chelsea - playing with a style which has suggested they can thrive.
