Lowestoft Town saw their lead at the top of the Ryman League Division One North cut to just three points on Saturday.

The Blues' scheduled home fixture against Enfield Town was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch and second placed Concord Rangers took full advantage of their rivals' inactivity by beating Brentwood 2-0.

Rangers will now be looking to up the pressure on the leaders even further tomorrow night when the two sides meet on Canvey Island.

A home win would put the two front-runners level on points at the top, although Lowestoft would still have three games in hand and a superior goal difference.

An away win would leave Concord with a mountain to climb, while leaving the Blues in an extremely comfortable position at the top - so it's shaping up to be a huge game for both sides.

The challenge of third-placed Thamesmead appears to be fading fast. They were hammered 5-1 at home by Maldon Town on Saturday and remain nine points behind Lowestoft, having played six more games.

A new date for the Enfield game has yet to be arranged - and with games coming thick and fast it won't be easy to fit in.
