Robbins shines for Bungay
Haverhill Rovers Ladies 4, Bungay Town Ladies 1
Bungay travelled to Haverhill and were beaten by a more physical side. Bungay began the better side and Leo Daulby lobbed the keeper with only five minutes on the clock to give Bungay the lead.
Bungay looked to settle but Haverhill used the pace of their wings to get in behind the Bungay defence and they soon pulled a goal back.
Bungay were unlucky to concede a number of free kicks within shooting range and the physical presence of Haverhill seemed too much for the Bungay defence to cope with and they added another two goals to their tally before half time.
The second half started better and a change in formation allowed Jo Oakley to accompany Michelle Stanborough up front. Space was available as both teams appar to tire in the pouring rain and Bungay moved the ball much better and were unlucky not to pull a couple of goals back.
