Coventry City boss and former Norwich City striker Mark Robins called upon his past experiences with City to offer Sam McCallum advice on his move to the Canaries.
Robins played for City between 1992 and 1995, scoring 20 times. The Sky Blues boss believes McCallum couldn't have chosen a better move than joining Daniel Farke's men.
"Norwich is a good club, I know that. I played there for nearly three years. I've told him that. I said to him that's a really good place to play your football and the supporters are passionate.
"I know Neil Adams, I played with him and he's still there and they develop players so it's a decent choice. If he was going to leave here, then I don't think there was a better place for him to go to."
Robins has installed a possession-based philosophy at St Andrews and has provided stability to a club who lacked that prior to his arrival.

"Ultimately, he's doing really well but he has a long way to go," Robins explained.
"He's not the finished article and he needs to keep improving to get to the level he needs to be at for Norwich."
McCallum displayed his qualities in Coventry's 2-1 victory over Bolton but Robins thinks there's more to come from City's new signing.
"He's only been in the professional game for 18 months. He's made major strides in that time and if he can continue in the same vein then he's going to progress into a top player."
Dennis Politic, a player previously linked with the Canaries, provided McCallum with a different proposition in the second-half.
MORE: McCallum eyes England progression"It was a tough test for him and he's handled it pretty well. I thought he stood up to it really well, you saw bits of his game although you didn't see the best of him but you have to credit the opponents for that because they've got power.
"His positioning still needs some work. He needs to know when he needs to get back in and cut off the winger. Sometimes he's too far in front and tactically, it's not quite right but Dominic [Hyam] helped him a little bit.
"He's a front foot player and he wants to get forward so I'm pleased with all of them today and Sam was decent."
