Canaries skipper Mark Fotheringham suffered a neck injury in training on Saturday morning - but Roeder expects him to be fit for the visit of West Brom next weekend.
“He's been a real influence on the side these last three or four months,” said City boss Glen Roeder.
“It's the first training ground injury we've picked up - and the day before the game as well, it's real bad luck.
“He is in form, he is a driving force so it didn't help, but that is not an excuse, it gives someone else an opportunity to play. We'd have rather Fozzy been fit, but he wasn't and that's certainly not an excuse for not playing well today. At the moment we feel very confident he will be fit for the West Brom game next week.”
Lee Croft went off towards the end after a collision which required stitches in a head wound but is another who should be available.
