City boss Glenn Roeder suggested he had an early Christmas present in store for fans after yesterday's derby victory.
After confirming that on-loan forward Antoine Sibierski had missed the Ipswich game after suffering a foot injury, he hinted at a new arrival in the pipeline.
“Sibby picked up a foot injury on Thursday that kept him out of today's game,” said Roeder. “He will probably struggle to play in the next two games. We'll have to be looking at him again next week.

“But hopefully we'll have an ace up our sleeve that we'll be able to reveal in a few days' time.”
If it is a new player before the start of January, it would have to be someone out of contract - one to whom the usual transfer rules do not apply.
