Norwich City fans are singing the praises of Daniel Farke’s league leaders for showing their strength of character yet again to win at Rotherham, on a hugely important day in the Championship promotion race.
Kenny McLean’s opener just before the break was cancelled out by a tidy finish from Millers midfielder Semi Ajayi in the 52nd minute, giving the relegation battlers hope.
However, Ben Godfrey powered home a header to put City back into the lead five minutes later, before a resolute effort to hold onto all three points, despite wasting some chances to make the win more comfortable.
With Leeds losing 1-0 to Sheffield United at Elland Road in the day’s early kick-off it means the Canaries are now four points clear of the second-placed Blades and five clear of Leeds in third.
