Norwich City striker Ryan Jarvis is set to join League One side Leyton Orient on loan for a month.

Jarvis, 20, has started just four games for City this season - with only one of those being in the league - and moves to the Os in a bid for regular first team football.

Orient, managed by Martin Ling, are currently struggling at the wrong end of League One, sitting in 21st position and just two points above the drop zone.

Jarvis joins an Orient squad which already contains former Canary Phil Mulryne, who joined the club earlier this month.

If all the relevant paperwork with the Football League is completed in time, Jarvis could be thrown straight into action in Orient's match at home to Carlisle at the weekend.

Orient manager Ling said: "We've needed to add a forward to the squad ever since Paul Connor was sold to Cheltenham, so I'm delighted to welcome Ryan to the club.

"He's played a good number of games at Championship level and has also represented his country so I'm looking forward to seeing the impact he has on the team."
