Gambian striker Cherno Samba will be given a trial outing tonight when a Norwich City XI take on Thetford Town at Mundford Road (7.45pm).The 24-year-old, who represented England from under-15 to under-20 level before opting to play for the land of his birth, was first reported to have had a trial with the Canaries two years ago.

The 24-year-old, who represented England from under-15 to under-20 level before opting to play for the land of his birth, was first reported to have had a trial with the Canaries two years ago.

He was previously with Plymouth and Finnish Premiership side FC Haka, who released him last February.

Striker Luke Daley is set to start his first match of the pre-season programme after struggling with a thigh strain. Daley is joined in the starting line-up by first year professionals Danny Kelly, Dario Dumic and Sam Habergham.

Ian Crook takes charge of a Norwich side that also includes triallist George Wilson, with former youth team 'keeper Danny Gay playing in goal.
