Jason Shackell could be back in the reckoning for tomorrow's trip to Charlton after missing Saturday's win over Crystal Palace because of an ankle injury.
“He has done bits and bobs,” said manager Peter Grant. “He feels good within himself, but at this moment, do I take the chance with him and lose him for five or six weeks if there is a recurrence? Not with the nature of the loan system and people not allowing any players out.
“I don't want to leave us in a position where we have only two centre backs playing constantly, with the amount of games we have coming up.
“We will look again on Monday and assess it before the Charlton match, but I can't afford to lose anybody.”
