A national newspaper today named the five Norwich City first team players struck down by a mystery illness at an official club barbecue on Sunday.
Club officials have remained tight-lipped over the identity of the players involved but the Sun reported that Jamie Cureton, Andy Hughes, Jon Otsemobor, Chris Martin and Matthew Halliday were among the 30 people struck down by the bug.
The players are doubts for this weekend's big Championship kick-off against Preston North End giving manager Peter Grant a major selection headache.
An outside caterer was used for the function and an investigation has been launched into “barbie-gate” by South Norfolk District Council.
