The bad weather, not surprisingly, took its toll on the weekend's football fixtures.

All Saturday's games in the Ridgeons, Anglian Combination, Central & South Norfolk and North-East Norfolk leagues were postponed due to the snowy conditions.

It did, however, create some lovely picture postcard views around the county.

Our picture shows the scene at Ridgeons League Swaffham Town, the clubhouse end goalmouth encrusted with snow.

Club secretary Ray Ewart said the snow “provided the opportunity to view Swaffham Town's Shoemakers Lane ground in a different light and allowed the band of valued committee helpers the chance of a Saturday off!

“At this time, the committee and players would like to thank those club members and supporters for their enthusiasm and encouragement both home and away, in sun, wind and rain so far this season.”
