The season is well under way for Aylsham Ladies FC with four matches having been played.

The Ladies played their first match in searing heat on Sunday 9th September away at Bungay. The opposition are a well organised team playing some good football which Aylsham matched for long periods of the game but couldn’t find the back of the net. The final score was 2-0 to Bungay.

On Sunday 16th September Aylsham Ladies played their first home match against Colt Jags who were very strong in attack and made Aylsham pay for defensive errors, despite a 10 minute surge in the second half when Aylsham scored 3 goals (Goals: Gina Atherton 1, Emma Gillespie 2) the final score was 9-3 to Colt Jags.

On Sunday 30th September Aylsham Ladies travelled to Fakenham still looking for their first win of the season. Aylsham played some great passing football and were soon on top of the game coming out 2-1 winners (Goals: Gina Atherton 2).

Most recently Aylsham welcomed Gorleston Rangers to the Rec. Again Aylsham settled into the game quickly and started creating chances. The final score was 2-1 to Aylsham (Goals: Annie Smith 1, Emma Gillespie 1). This is a solid start to the season for the Ladies who are gelling more as a team with every game.
