If any of my former girl friends read this, they might just pass out with shock when I say: I can admit when I am wrong!

Like many people, when Paul Lambert was appointed Norwich Manager, my first thought at the time was: Why, oh why, did we go for Paul Lambert when we had been linked to so many bigger names, including the man I had wished for: Boothroyd?

Like many fans, I questioned what Lambert could really offer us?

Dont get me wrong: Once he was our manager I was right behind him; I, for one, love this Club and will support them through thick and thin.

Well, those doubts and questions were soon shown to be unfounded and unnecessary! The passion Lambert has shown to NCFC by coming out and saying he is going nowhere, even when a Premiership Club came knocking, shows us all how much he really cares and wants to keep the job going that he has already started so well.

We now seem to have a totally united team both on and off the field.

At all the press conferences after the games this season we hear player after player, no matter who they are, saying we dont have stars in our team, we just have a team. They talk about all pulling together, about how no-one is bigger than the team itself, how not one of them wants to walk away, and why would they, when they can see how quickly things are moving forward at Norwich under Lambert and his Management team's supervision!

We want the dream of promotion and in order to get this, we all have to pull together as one from Management and the Board, to first team players as well as the reserves and fans.

A sign that was once on the walls of the Norwich dressing room read The will to win is more important than the skill to win...........I was reminded of this sign when I read Boothroyd's comments in the press in the build up to the Colchester game. He was talking about how, instead of becoming the new manager replacing Mr Roeder, he had turned his back on Norwich because he was only offered a six month contract. My own view is that, for an out-of-work manager who was only thinking about money, is it any wonder that, despite being linked to so many jobs, he never got any of them; and what a mistake when you realise that Gunn got his contract extended even after he had failed to keep us up!

So, to Lambert and the Squad, I would say 'Well Done'!

Against the odds we've gone 'onwards and upwards'..... Sometimes it feels so good to be proved wrong!!!
