Sophie scores her first goal for Thorpe
Peterborough 8, Thorpe United 3
A lacklustre Thorpe were blown away in the opening half an hour of this game as Peterborough opened up a 4-0 lead.
The hosts were stronger and faster than their opponents and filled with confidence from an early goal they seemed to run through the Thorpe defence at will and take the chances that came their way to go four up.
At this stage though Thorpe rallied and after some good work from Mary Ann and Charlotte finished well to pull a goal back. Just before half time Thorpe were suddenly back in the match as Charlotte added another.
Real hope for Thorpe if they could continue like this after the break, however one minute after the restart it was 5-2 as Peterborough scored from a corner.
