The fixture at St Mary's Stadium will not be shown live on Sky television. If the match is level after 90 minutes, there will be no extra time, and a penalty shoot-out will take place if required.
If City go through, they will face either MK Dons or Hereford United in the area final, which is played over two legs, home and away, to decide who goes through to the final at Wembley.
Before that, the Saints and the Canaries meet in League One at St Mary's on Saturday (3pm).
