A deal has been agreed for Norwich City defender Michael Spillane to join League One club Brentford for an undisclosed fee.

After the Canaries received an offer for the 21-year-old Academy product, Spillane was given permission to talk to Bees boss Andy Scott about a potential switch to Griffin Park and is now poised to sign a two-year contract.

Spillane made his Norwich City debut in January 2006 in the third round FA Cup tie against West Ham United at Carrow Road as a late substitute for Jason Jarrett.

Spillane has made a total of 33 appearances for the Canaries, scoring once.
