Spixworth visited Dersingham on Saturday returning with all three points from a pleasing two nil victory. Already without Luke Humphrey, (attending a wedding), manager 'Midi' Brown faced further disruption with two very late call offs. Youngsters Smith and Chamberlain were drafted in from the reserves at short notice to maintain squad strength.
The long journey and late team changes appeared to have little effect as Spixworth quickly settled into an attacking rhythm on yet another glorious Saturday afternoon. They were soon rewarded when Josh Barzey scored after ten minutes. From that moment on Spixworth were comfortable throughout creating a glut of goalscoring chances. Despite being ahead so early and controlling procedings throughout, Spixworth had to wait until ten minutes from time before making the game safe. Lee Askew scoring the all important second!
A good result and a good team performance, Tom Hislop played well throughout as did Lee Askew. Manager Brown was also pleased with the contribution of Smith and Chamberlain.
