CROMER U11 played North Walsham U11 in a tightly-fought match.

Cromer’s defence of Aaron, Thomas and Ben S held strong. A penalty for hand-ball gave North Walsham a 1-0 lead at half-time. In the second half Cromer’s midfield of Harry C, Charlie and Harry B worked hard leading to a well-deserved equaliser from Matthew. The game was very tight and even, but with just five minutes to go North Walsham found a way through Cromer’s defence and scored two quick goals. A disappointing end to a strong performance. Final score: 3-1. MoM: Maciek Grabowski.

CROMER U11 travelled to Reepham for their third match in a week. Cromer started strongly with Mathew giving them a 1-0 lead. Reepham fought back, putting Cromer under pressure, equalising just before half-time. The second half saw Cromer dominate but unable to score. Cromer continued to battle with Aaron and Ben S working hard in defence, leaving Maciek in goal little to do. With five minutes to go Thomas broke through and scored Cromer’s second, with Harry B making it 3-0 just before the final whistle. Final score: Cromer 3, Reepham 1. MoM: Aaron Bunting.

Angels led 1-0 at half-time, Hannah scoring from close range following Zoe’s corner. NORTH WALSHAM ANGELS U14 Girls made the long journey to face Rickinghall Gunners Girls and although putting in a better performance than the previous week, were once again hampered by call-offs. Only nine players made the trip and the side started and finished the match with only eight players. Strikers Olivia and Ellie played a half each in goal, both giving good performances, and both scoring when outfield. The unfamiliar starting line-up saw Olivia in goal, Sophie H, Charlotte and Lucy in defence, Zoe and Robyn in midfield with Hannah W and Ellie as strikers. The home side took the lead before Jess F took the field to complete the team. Zoe crossed from the right to Ellie who scored to equalise. A controversial goal put Rickinghall ahead and but at half-time they led 3-1. A long ball from Ellie was picked up by Olivia who scored with a low shot from the right then Hannah W scored following a goalmouth scramble. Rickinghall scored a late goal to win 4-3 and Angels finished the match a player short following a foot injury to Lucy.
