It’s a short trip to Carrow Road this weekend, where I’m sure most of the fans and probably most of the players will be glad to be back after our last two away days. I know I am.

I wasn't at the games at Turf Moor and Selhurst Park, but it sounded like I didn't miss much. Despite our excellent win over Manchester City in our last home game, I had a bad feeling for the two away trips... not that I was going to admit it. Sadly I was right.

They are two places where we don't have much joy and they're such miserable places to go. Listening to stories from supporters who did go, their experiences make me more proud of Carrow Road and buzzing for Saturday.

Seeing the highlights from both games, the hard reality of the Premier League was on show. After Ibrahim Amadou's impressive Premier League debut against Manchester City, he has definitely found it tough going since. I would like to think Daniel Farke has given Amadou a word or two of advice after conceding the penalty at Palace.

Personally I would like to see Grant Hanley back in central defence against Villa, with Amadou in centre midfield, especially if Jack Grealish is playing for Villa. Last year at Carrow Road, Tom Trybull didn't allow Grealish to dictate that area and maybe Amadou can have the responsibility of taking on the role of keeping the Villa man quiet.

The other frustrating part last Saturday was yet more people entering the treatment room. I don't usually moan about injuries, but I've never known a time like it. It looks like Ralf Fahrmann may have joined the long list as well. Now, if Fahrmann doesn't start, I think we may have to be patient with potential replacement Michael McGovern playing in goal.

Last Saturday, it appeared McGovern struggled playing out from the back, which was illustrated in some of the stats I have seen. Some fans on Twitter were saying McGovern should have lumped it forward. What's the point? The opposition will just win the ball back and we will be back to square one. Plus, I really can't see Farke allowing this.

Let's just hope in training this week McGovern has adapted better to passing out from the back.

It appears that Jamal Lewis may be okay after the injury scare last Saturday so Philip Heise won't have to step in.

I did have to smile earlier in the week whilst listening to TalkSport, when Sam Allardyce was defending Newcastle United's poor start to the season, saying they had seven players out. If only it was seven for us.

It's just a shame we've got to wait until February to play Newcastle away, I would definitely be confident about ending our poor away form in that tie. Every time I've seen them this season they look dead certs for one of those relegation spots, unless they can sort themselves out.

I am sure the national media would be making an issue if some of the so-called big teams had an injury list as long as the one we have.

Back to the Villa game: it's going to be another massive one at the Fortress Carrow Road. Villa may have spent £100m more than us, but one thing is for sure - they don't look £100m better than us.

I don't really need to preach about the part us fans need to play in the game. That's what we have already been told by Daniel Farke earlier in the week. If we can create that noise, win every 50/50 ball, maybe we can have another massive three points.

Come on, you mighty Yellows!
