The one game played in the Evening News Norwich Sunday League Premier Division this week saw Silver Fox move up to second spot after a 2-1 win at high-flying Wymondham Rangers.

Hainford YCOB continued their good form in 1A, winning 2-0 (Wade, Bush) at home to Windmill Wanderers, whilst the clash of the top two in 1B saw a 4-1 victory for Costessey Sports which sees them move three points clear of Earlham Utd.

Drayton won 4-1 at Hillside OB and Norfolk CCSC were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Prince of Denmark.

Reepham stormed to the top of 2A after thumping Deopham 9-3 as morning leaders Vale Longo were going down 3-2 (Mileham, Muge) at Spixworth Utd.

Green Man were also beaten, 4-1 (Layton 2, Whitlam, Maxwell) at The Griffen and Aslacton had a 4-1 home win over Norman Wanderers A.

The Castlegate beat Acle Wanderers 4-3 in a good sporting game, whilst Coachmakers Arms and Plasterers Arms took a point each when sharing eight goals, Winson, Watson, Fogarty and Rennie were on target for Plasterers.

There was a shock for title-chasing St Faiths as they were beaten 4-3 at home to PL Rangers for whom Rocastle (2) Lofty and Haze scored whilst third-placed Acle Rangers Res also dropped points as they were held to a 1-1 draw by The Gordon, the visitors scoring through Dudley. Horsford SC went to Poringland Res and came away with a 2-0 win.

Upton moved to within a point of 3A leaders Stoke after crushing Mad Moose 10-1 (Elvin 3, Armes 2, Glen 2, Nelson, Ulph, Lake) and The Otter had a 3-2 home win over Sporting Longdale.

The Reindeer beat Heartsease Casuals 2-0 (Savage, Chamberlain) and Newsman Celtic defeated Temple Bar by the same score. Bayer FC are within touching distance of the 3B title after winning 4-2 at AFC Rompers, but the battle for the runners-up spot intensified as Mischief beat Moles Rest 5-1, Taverham beat Wymondham Res 6-2 (Claxton 2, Fulcher, Pieria, Pope og) and Sporting Farmhouse beat Unicorns Res 4-1.

At the other end, Dynamo Denmark gained another valuable point as they drew 4-4 (Lawn 2, Budd Coleman) at Hethersett Res.

With both teams already promoted it remains to be seen who will take the 4A title.

Leaders Wellington Pink Uns had a 2-0 win at Kings Arms, whilst Sprowston Royal Oak had to come from behind twice to eventually beat bottom side AFC Mousehold 4-2 (D Maxey 2, S Maxey, Hazell).

Hockering are third after scoring nine without reply at Earlham Colney and The Brickmakers beat Hellesdon Res 4-3. Norwich Airport had a 4-1 victory at Sporting Longdale Res.

Congratulations to Heartsease FC. Their 1-0 victory at Earlham Utd Res gave them the 4B title at the very first attempt. Well done to all involved.

Maid Marian had a good 7-0 (Cartledge 2, Bone 2, Wright, Parker, og) win at Hethersett A and Freethorpe beat Hingham 3-1. Salhouse Res put six past Felmingham and Spixworth Res had a 2-1 home win over Constitution.

In the Pink Un League Cup quarter-finals, goals by Nixon and Tuttle were not enough for AFC Wanderers as their hopes of the treble ended with a 4-2 defeat at home to Acle Rangers.

Greening and Brown scored for The Grove as they won 2-1 at Norman Wanderers and Reynolds and Elwin were on target as Poringland Wanderers won 2-0 at Norwich Busmen. Quebec reached the semi-finals after beating Aylsham Sunday 3-0.
