Swindon will be bringing their strongest team to Carrow Road for their Carabao Cup first round clash with Norwich City, manager David Flitcroft has pledged.

The former Bury boss has taken over at the County Ground following the Robins relegation to League Two and is looking forward to his first cup game, to be played in the week commencing August 7.

“We’ll look forward to every game that we play and I’ll be expressing to these players how lucky they are to be playing for Swindon Town and going to represent the club at such a fantastic stadium,” Flitcroft told the Swindon Advertiser.

“You look at the bigger teams in the world now and they can rotate, they can change the team and the squad and you’ve just got to look at Manchester United winning the Europa League and the importance they put on that. We’re not in that fortunate position so we’ll be going there with all the good players in the squad.”
