The runner-up spot in Division 3B is at stake this weekend when Sporting Farmhouse take on Taverham Utd at Longdale.

Long-serving secretary and manager Ray Watling of Taverham says his side have been very enthusiastic this season.

He added: “It all depends on what Taverham side turns up on the day, if it's the good Taverham then I am very confident we can get a result.

They beat us earlier in the season so that is another source of motivation. Farmhouse on the other hand have gradually got better since the winter weather decimated the fixture list.

“It took us a while to get going again but with great team spirit our performances improved to the point that we beat champions Bayer 3-2 a couple of weeks ago,” said secretary Brydon Middleton who along with Julian Driver formed the side three years ago as Mill House.

“This side has got stronger each season and hopefully this trend will continue.”

Other games to watch this weekend are Wymondham Rangers against AFC Wanderers in the fascinating race for this season's Premier Division title which will be decided on points average. Sprowston Wanderers face Division 1b title hopefuls Earlham Utd in 1B.
