A poetic Taylor borrowed an immortal line from Oscar-winning actor Robin Williams to fire up his men - seize the day.

"They just need to believe," he said. "My lads can play football. I'm always telling them we've got the best players and the best team in our league. We run out in front of the biggest crowds at the best stadium as well. Hucknall play at a higher level, but I'm convinced my players are good enough. This is a benchmark test for us - we just need to enjoy it.

"For myself and the lads we want to win the game. We know off the back of that comes financial rewards for the club and the chance of a great tie in the next round."

Taylor celebrated two years in The Walks hot seat earlier this week and the Linnets chief has delved into the archives to caution his players of the threat posed by the Nationwide North top six outfit.

"I remember we played Southport in the cup a few months after I came in," he said. "They smashed us all over the place on the day. We got bullied out if it, but we are much stronger now and could deal with that.

"We know about the boy Legg. He has a tremendous throw in and you only have to go back to the Salisbury game last season when we got done on set pieces. We can't afford to have anyone sleeping. Hucknall have won five on the bounce. I'm hoping it might be time they lost one. Any team who can string results like that together and go this far in the competition are no mugs."

Young sharpshooter Liam Hearn is set to replace suspended top scorer Gary Ricketts for former Northern Irish international Kevin Wilson's side.

Taylor will hand Dean West (hamstring) a late fitness test. New recruit Steve Melton is cup tied but midfielder Matt O'Halloran (knee) returns after missing last weekend's FA Trophy win at Worthing - a key battleground for the Linnets' boss.

"I'm delighted with how Matty has performed this season," he said. "To score seven goals by October is a decent effort. In a tight game just that something extra could make the difference. Alex Notman is another one for us. He has so much ability, gets in good areas and has great feet - hopefully he might nick us a goal or two."

Yellows' counterpart Wilson despatched former Kettering assistant Alan Biley to run the rule over Taylor's men during the build-up.

"We received a few pointers from Alan and have certain things to work on," he said. "I feel it's more a case of what we do. They are top of their league and will fancy it. It'll be a difficult game but so is every match - it certainly can't be any harder than what we went through in the last round at Nuneaton Borough."
