Norwich United earned their first Ridgeons Premier League point of the season despite playing the second half with just 10 men. The Planters took the lead through a Lee Howlett free-kick after 24 minutes, only to see their lead disappear three minutes later when Andrew Cusack equalised from the spot after Adam Ferguson had fouled Alan Ross. Ferguson's night went from bad to worse two minutes before the break when he was shown a red card for violent conduct. The visitors took the lead through an own goal in the 62nd minute when the ball looped off the head of Warren Preston and crept under Matt Hill's bar but the Planters refused to lie down and restored parity five minutes later through Shaun Bammant from close range.
