With no fixtures being played over the last two weeks and a reduced number of fixtures over the Christmas and New Year period, the current break provides an opportunity to review the season so far and to look at where the honours are likely to fall.

The league table is deceptive given the wide discrepancies in the number of games played. In terms of points dropped, the race for the title appears to be between four teams - Morley Village are well placed, having only dropped seven points with their nearest challengers closely behind. Dereham Town A have dropped 10, Shipdham 11 and Castle Acre Swifts 12. There is then a further gap of five points to North Elmham and, with the next group having dropped 20 or more, it is unlikely that they can make up the ground they have already lost. At the other end of the table, the relegation places (if full relegation is applied) are likely to go to Narborough who are well adrift in terms of dropped points and one of the next bottom group of, Rockland United, Thetford Rovers Reserves or Bridgham United.

West End have the current advantage in Division Two, having only lost one match to date. However, Mulbarton Wanderers Reserves and Scarning United are also well placed in terms of points dropped and this trio look set to figure in the promotion places as long as their fixture backlog does not become a problem. Hethersett Athletic are the next closest team, having the best record with only 11 points dropped and they are currently well clear of the following group of Nostro, Cockers, Necton and Sporle. Current leaders Rampant Horse have probably already dropped two many points and will find it difficult to hang on to top spot for too much longer. At the other end of the table, Saham Toney Reserves and Bawdeswell look to be in real difficulty and will do well to avoid occupying the relegation places at the end of the season.

In terms of points dropped, Stoke Ferry are clear favourites for the Third Division title, having only dropped four points to date. However, they still have a massive 20 games to play and may find that task an uphill battle as they have to cope with that considerable backlog of fixtures at the tail end of the season. Attleborough Athletic have only dropped 12 points, Litcham 13 and Wendling only one further point worse off. The next group consists of Marham Wanderers, Weeting and Hingham Athletic Reserves who have dropped between 18 and 20 points. Further off the pace are Colkirk, Watton United A, Splitz United and North Elmham Reserves. Narborough Reserves and Methwold United are in most danger of relegation at present although Great Cressingham and Rockland United Reserves both need to be picking up some points.

The Division Four title destination looks to be a three horse race between Mulbarton Wanderers A, Beetley United and Feltwell United Reserves, having dropped just four, five and seven points respectively. The only other realistic challengers at this stage are Weasenham Wanderers (dropped 12 points), Tacolneston Reserves (13) and Yaxham Reserves (15). The re-election spots appear to be between Gressenhall Reserves, Shipdham Reserves and Methwold United Reserves, given that these three teams are already well detached from the group immediately above them.
