Thorpe Ladies clinch title
Thorpe Ladies have clinched the Eastern Region League Division One North title after beating visitors Fakenham Ladies 3-0.
There was a lot at stake on this game with Thorpe only needed one point to win the league so the pressure was on both teams.
The game started off with Thorpe having the majority of attacking chances but couldn’t find the back of the net.
It took 30 minutes for the first goal to be seen and it was the home side who took the lead through Bex Lake who took the opportunity through the goalkeeper’s fumble.
With Thorpe’s confidence rising from their goal they continued to dominate until half time.

The second half started with Thorpe continuing to dominate and through a Rebecca corner, Lauren headed in to make it 2-0.
Thorpe soon got their third with a through ball from Charlotte to Lakey who finished well

Thorpe continued to battle and showed great teamwork throughout the game continuing to take the attacking opportunities but couldn’t net any more.
The game ended 3-0 to Thorpe, which meant they became league champions for the third year in a row, a great achievement!
