Norwich City supporters have snapped up all of the available tickets for the Canaries’ first game of the Championship season, away at Fulham.

Around 3,000 tickets went on sale at 9am today and were all sold by 2pm as anticipation builds for the first game under new head coach Daniel Farke, on Saturday, August 5.

Last season 2,764 fans made the trip to Fulham on a Tuesday night in mid-October and saw Alex Neil’s team 2-0 up at half-time and temporarily top of the table, thanks to two penalties from Graham Dorrans.

However, the Cottagers hit back to draw 2-2 and City lost their next five league matches as part of a run of just two wins and 10 games which ruined the season and ultimately cost Neil his job in March.

Ever since the Canaries have set about a complete revamp of staff and players, leading to increased interest to see the beginning of life under Farke and sporting director Stuart Webber, with seven signings arriving and 10 senior players leaving so far.
